good things happened.

the other side of the coin. offers accepted, kind interviewers, real feedback. share yours from /post.

first dev job out of a 14-week bootcamp. 8 months of applying. 197 applications. 2 onsites. citrix had a junior track that actually treats juniors like juniors. paired with a senior engineer day one. she became my mentor. 6 months in and i actually understand what we ship. just had to share this. it gets better

career pivot from data eng to PM after 8 years. terrified. expected to be told i was crazy. pendo interviewers asked me to walk through how id ship a feature, not how to reverse a binary tree. offer in 2 weeks. starting in november. raleigh lets go!!

every round closed with 'is there anything you want to ask back about us?' and they ACTUALLY answered. the head of eng told me what was hard about working there. unprompted. who DOES that. accepted the offer same day.

hardware EE 3 yrs out. they didnt make me whiteboard. we just talked about the projects on my resume and a circuit id designed for a side thing. got the offer at the level i asked for. there are still places that hire engineers like normal humans

got laid off in february. it was bad. like bad bad. RH recruiter responded the same day i applied. she SCHEDULED me before sundown. team match was a real conversation about what i wanted to work on, not a vibes check. start next month. crying happy tears at the dog park.
